We expect that by year 5 we will have accomplished what is described above and more. We hope that by this time some of the ideas and methods will be known in the commercial sector, e.g., at MathWorks, at NAG and at Autodesk. But it will also be necessary to devote concentrated energy on demonstrating the tools and ideas. We are requesting explicit support for this phase of the work which is reflected in a higher travel budget and contingency plans to incorporate a workshop into the Theory Center schedule of meetings.
