`(c-t)' kbd_text

This command is used in various contexts to help create appropriate text-string-like objects of the same kind as the *alpha-hook* creates.
It sometimes adjusts the term at the point when it's not in the right form. It is most commonly used to enter the appropriate text-string-like object when the *alpha-hook* is unusable for this, such as when the text is an edit command, or contains characters that are not identifier characters (namely `abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789 '').

Insert [variable]

In an ML environment, insert [ml text], which allows the insertion of text to be parsed and converted to structured ML.

In abs condition list insert [condition]

In a iparm control context, insert [var]:v.

In a display form context, insert [text].

In dform attr list insert [condition]

(words, insert) [word]

In WORDS mode, insert an appropriate text needed for managing automatic bursting. Normally, the user needn't be concerned with this; it's just documented to avoid confusion if users start probing the system to see how words are represented.

If two adjacent words are jammed together, then join them into a single word; for example: word1word2 join them into a single word. IF YOU CAN SEE THIS go to /sfa/Nuprl/Shared/Xindentation_hack_doc.html
